The Sales Associate is responsible for building, developing, and managing agent distribution channels to promote and sell consumer products. Sales Associate Job Description
The Sales Associate is a licensed producer who serves as the primary sales contact for the company's products and services. The Sales Associate is responsible for building, developing, and managing agent distribution channels to promote and sell consumer products. The Sales Associate is expected to provide input into new product design and sales and marketing strategies and to maintain compliance with consumer product requirements.
What you’ll do as the Sales Associate:
- Participate in sales and marketing activities such as health fairs, community gatherings, educational seminars, and decision-maker meetings
- Solicit applications through the distribution channel resulting in policies or contracts being approved and/or issued
- Build and maintain assigned distribution channels including, adding new agents, and increasing the productivity of assigned agents
- Responsible for face-to-face development of the distribution channel through meetings and other communication to meet production results
- Complete and submit all required weekly and monthly sales activity reports and completion of marketing/business plans
- Adhere to all state DOI and CMS compliance regulations
What you’ll bring to the Sales Associate role:
- A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is preferred
- 1+ years of related experience and/or training is preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak, and apply mathematical concepts and sound reasoning
- Ability to perform basic operations on a computer within the Windows operating system
- Excellent problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to multi-task
- Active SD Resident Health and Life license is required or the ability to secure required licenses prior to hire
