Worksite Location: Dubuque, IA

What you’ll do as the Safety, Health, and Environmental Supervisor:

Prioritize and coordinate work activities between safety and business unit leaders to identify safety initiatives and action plans to improve safety performance
Manage and coordinate environmental programs at the facility including the completion of environmental inspections, and routine tasks including monitoring, testing, and data collection
Develop, lead, and manage safety projects based on identified business annual objectives and prioritized safety needs
Supervise staff in a related functional area that may include environmental, health services, or workers’ comp
Ensure site-specific compliance activities are being met in partnership with Enterprise-level functional leadership and support staff, set schedules, assign work, and monitor performance
Ensure that direct reports have the knowledge, skills, and resources necessary to perform their jobs
Lead efforts to build and sustain a behavior-based safety culture
Conduct safety and environmental evaluations with site management and assist in the execution of corrective actions
Train supervisors and support staff accordingly to support various environmental and safety programs
Work with site leadership and manufacturing engineering to conduct safety assessments of new or modified equipment/processes in accordance with the company’s Safety Assessment Procedure
Analyze safety performance indicators to identify trends and loss activities and assist in prioritizing appropriate countermeasures

What you’ll bring to the Safety, Health, and Environmental Supervisor role:

Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in Safety Engineering, Environmental Management, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of formal leadership experience managing direct reports
5+ years of experience in the safety field and/or environmental management preferably within manufacturing
Technical knowledge/experience of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC, ANSI, code regulations and compliance
Proven track record of successfully delivering outstanding results
Experience leading behavior-based safety programs
Ability to develop a strong team through ongoing coaching and development
Strategic planning and aligning organizational goals with safety initiatives
