Senior Financial Analyst

- Contract Duration: 6-Months
- Worksite Location: Minneapolis, MN
- Compensation: $43.00-$55.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
What you’ll do as the Senior Financial Analyst:
- Lead accounting, reporting, and control activities related to sourcing, derivatives, inventory, and grain
- Provide accounting and technical guidance for hedging, commodities, and grain operations across the North America sourcing network and corporate departments
- Partner with Sourcing Buyers and Grain Merchandisers on commodity positions, inquiries, and projects
- Oversee the daily processing of hedge activity, ensuring smooth operations and timely issue resolution in coordination with Finance Shared Services
- Drive accuracy in financial records and strengthen control effectiveness in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and financial reporting standards, including preparation and accuracy of income statements, balance sheets, and supporting reconciliations
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Identify and close control gaps related to hedging and commodities, developing tools and training to enhance efficiency and ensure proper accounting treatment
- Support strategic initiatives across accounting and supply chain by evaluating business transactions against evolving accounting and regulatory guidance
What you’ll bring to the Senior Financial Analyst role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or financial reporting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust across teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive process improvements
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Familiarity with TriplePoint Trade System and supply chain accounting is a plus
