Accounting Manager Job Description
The ideal candidate will play a key role in our financial growth, overseeing daily financial operations, managing the finance team, and supporting strategic financial initiatives to achieve our revenue goals. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for addressing current challenges, including ERP system optimization, and will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to drive efficiency and profitability.
What you’ll do as the Accounting Manager:
- Lead and manage the finance team, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and contributing to strategic initiatives
- Provide financial guidance and support to senior leadership
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Optimize and manage the ERP system (currently "Global Shop") to enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial best practices
- Collaborate with internal departments to drive cost reduction and revenue growth initiatives
- Mentor and develop finance team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement
What you’ll bring to the Accounting Manager role:
- Proven experience at a managerial level in accounting or finance, preferably within the metal industry
- CPA certification is preferred
- Strong proficiency in financial forecasting and analysis
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Global Shop is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Experience managing corporate finance functions is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
