About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Business Process Engineering to lead continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic health insurance and healthcare services organization. This role focuses on driving operational excellence through Lean Six Sigma methodologies, ensuring end-to-end process optimization across multiple value streams. The position requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution to deliver sustainable change.
Job Description
As the Manager of Business Process Engineering, you will:
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders, vendors, and employees at all levels.
- Oversee process evaluation, documentation, design, and monitoring using Lean principles.
- Lead transition from design to implementation, ensuring adoption through project management and organizational change management (OCM).
- Manage multiple headcount and supervise Business Process Consultants.
- Support continuous improvement across seven key value streams.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Business Process Management (BPM), Business Analytics, Program/Project Management, or Business Operations.
- 7+ years of experience in health plan/payer or healthcare industry.
- Proven leadership across large cross-functional teams.
- Expertise in continuous improvement and implementation.
- Program and Project Management experience.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification with 7+ years of application.
- Strong client-focused program, project, and process management skills.
- Ability to create and deliver clear presentations internally and externally.
- Proven success in building and leading cross-functional teams from conception to implementation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Visio, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience collaborating with business and technology teams to design future-state processes.
- Hands-on approach to driving work and achieving results.
- Experience supervising Business Process Consultants.
- Mastery of Six Sigma tools and concepts (Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, A3, Kanban, 5 Whys, FMEA).
- Familiarity with Agile methodology.
- Hands-on change management experience.
- Platform migration experience.
- Knowledge of Healthrules and/or Cosmos systems.
