- Worksite Location: Maple Grove, MN
- Compensation: $60,000-$65,000 annually
Staff Accountant Job Description:
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and reports. You will work closely with the finance team to support various accounting functions and contribute to the overall financial health of the organization.
What you will do as a Staff Accountant:
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and classified
- Process vendor invoices, verify expense reports, and prepare payments
- Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve any payment discrepancies
- Monitor accounts receivable, prepare invoices, and follow up on overdue payments
- Maintain accurate customer records
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly to identify and resolve discrepancies
What you will bring to the role as a Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
- 1+ years of previous experience in accounting or finance
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
