The Cost Accountant will ensure the accuracy of financial results. This will be accomplished through comprehensive knowledge of the business, strong cost accounting skills, and collaboration and partnership with multiple business partners. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to understand the whys behind what you’re doing. In addition, this job will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and supporting the implementation of financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.

- Worksite Location: Cottage Grove, MN
The Cost Accountant will ensure the accuracy of financial results. This will be accomplished through comprehensive knowledge of the business, strong cost accounting skills, and collaboration and partnership with multiple business partners. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to understand the whys behind what you’re doing. In addition, this job will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and supporting the implementation of financial and accounting concepts, or techniques for financial planning and control.
What you’ll do as the Cost Accountant:
- Support of cycle counts and physical inventories at the Cottage Grove plant
- Reconciliation of all inventory shipments out of Cottage Grove to retailers
- Reconciliation of inventory on hand balances and intercompany movement
- Support annual cost roll and related processes
- Support new manufacturing projects
- Providing business partners with guidance on the proper methodology needed for transactions
- Provide support for any integration mapping and/or design changes, including error resolution
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of related experience
- Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Highly motivated to strive for continuous improvement and learning opportunities
- Strong organizational skills, detail-orientated, and collaborative
