Purchasing Associate Job Summary
As a Purchasing Associate, you will oversee organization of sample distribution internationally, as well as other lab and logistical tasks. This position will work with the product development team to assemble, execute, and track sample shipments globally in line with a pre-determined plan. This work will be a mixture of computer-based entry and tracking, frequent global cross-functional communication, and hands-on organization.

Purchasing Associate Job Summary
As a Purchasing Associate, you will oversee organization of sample distribution internationally, as well as other lab and logistical tasks. This position will work with the product development team to assemble, execute, and track sample shipments globally in line with a pre-determined plan. This work will be a mixture of computer-based entry and tracking, frequent global cross-functional communication, and hands-on organization.
What you’ll do as the Purchasing Associate: Â
- Use internal systems to make purchases, requests, and shipments
- Communicate with product developers to understand plan to be carried out
- Communicate extensively with internal and external partners, locally and globally, to ensure timely completion of deliverables
- Provide regular updates on status and elevate issues
What you will bring to the Purchasing Associate role:
- Associate’s degree or higher
- Technological proficiency – data entry
- Previous shipping or data entry experience
- Prior experience with regulatory documentation
- Experience with SAP or Microsoft PowerApps
- Familiarity with coated abrasives (sanding discs, fiber discs, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to details
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Positive and persistent attitude
