As an Indirect Category Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of all Indirect Materials and Services. These typically include goods and services that are not directly incorporated into a product being manufactured, such as factory supplies, cutting tools, marketing materials, and/or professional services.  You will leverage all company spending for competitive pricing and support functions in the business for contracts.

What you’ll do as an Indirect Category Manager:
- Develop and implement supplier management strategies, scorecards, and performance monitoring for key categories
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs
- Provide expert advice on procurement strategies and best practices
- Manage contracts to support organizational goals and prevent financial losses, legal issues, and damaged relationships
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to give a competitive edge in materials, supplies, and services
- Consolidate and develop a supplier base to meet current and future procurement needs
- Establish and maintain partnerships with suppliers for feedback and continuous improvement
- Negotiate and manage complex contracts for assigned commodities per company objectives and policies
- Lead supplier selection with a cross-functional team
- Manage supplier performance in terms of costs, quality, and delivery
- Track and forecast cost drivers and market factors for assigned commodities
- Support Planners and manufacturing partners with tactical needs
- Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- At least 5 years of progressive professional Indirect Sourcing experience
- Able to travel 15-20% of the time
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and knowledge, including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent administrative, analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience with large spend contracts
