  • Worksite Location: Seattle, Washington - Hybrid
  • Salary Range: $95,000 - 120,000
What you’ll do as the Account Manager Lead - Employee Benefits:
  • Foster and manage overall relationship with clients ensuring retention of book of business and high satisfaction
  • Review client team’s RFPs
  • Select markets for solicitation
  • Analyze market proposals for verification of benefits, premiums, and competitiveness
  • Review coverage contracts for accuracy of policy provisions
  • Meet with clients for pre-renewal strategy, proposal delivery, and explanation
  • Conduct client open enrollment meetings and answers questions regarding benefit coverage
  • Negotiate with markets for benefits premium concessions
  • Ensure that client team handles client benefit inquiries and manages team to effectively service clients
  • Resolve escalated service issues
  • Manage new carrier and plan implementations for book of business
  • Ensure team prepares claims experience and utilization reports and reviews for accuracy
  • React, process, and follow up on new business
  • Collect fees, reconcile, and resolve any outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing date

What you’ll bring to the Account Manager Lead - Employee Benefits role:
  • Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 6+ years experience in a similar role at an insurance brokerage, managing group benefits for 100-500 groups or larger, preferred experience with self-funded plans. 
  • Valid life and health insurance license and ability to continuously meet requirements for license renewal
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
  • Superior leadership, problem solving, and time management skills
  • Ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
