About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a rapidly growing, data-driven healthcare services organization to identify a high-performing Senior Accountant. This individual will play a critical role in supporting accounting operations today while helping build scalable, efficient processes for the future.
The position is ideal for someone who is analytical, process-oriented, and automation-minded, with strong technical skills and the ability to communicate confidently with senior leadership. There is a clear path for growth into a Team Lead role as the organization continues to expand.
Job Description
This role serves as a key individual contributor within the accounting team, with a strong focus on data accuracy, process improvement, and operational efficiency. The Senior Accountant will review and enhance accounting workflows, provide guidance on journal entries, and partner cross-functionally to support a scalable finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, correct, and provide feedback on journal entries to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Support accounting quality and compliance through detailed analysis and review
- Analyze existing accounting processes to identify opportunities for improvement
- Drive continuous improvement using a structured Fix -Â Analyze -Â Automate approach
- Work with large datasets to support accounting and reporting needs
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and communicate insights to senior leadership
- Contribute to building simple, scalable, and efficient accounting processes
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong background in process analysis, optimization, and automation
- Hands-on experience working with large datasets
- Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data from:
- SQL
- Power BI
- Snowflake
- Excel or similar data spreadsheets
- Solid understanding of how accounting and data systems function
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable reviewing others’ work, providing feedback, and influencing process change
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with senior and executive-level stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree from a well-known college or university
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 (required)
- Experience in data-centric or highly process-driven environments
- Exposure to automation initiatives within accounting or finance
- Interest in mentoring or growing into a leadership role
