The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, internal accounting controls, the annual audit of our financial statements with an outside accounting firm, and the reconciliation and monitoring of the entries for our monthly closings. This position plays an integral part of a strong financial team and reports directly to the VP Finance and Administration.

- Worksite Location: Plymouth, MN
- Compensation: $90,000 per year + 10% bonus
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for monitoring general accounting practices, internal accounting controls, the annual audit of our financial statements with an outside accounting firm, and the reconciliation and monitoring of the entries for our monthly closings. This position plays an integral part of a strong financial team and reports directly to the VP Finance and Administration.
What you’ll do as the Accounting Manager:
- Supervise accounting function including accounts payable, cash application, special billings, and fixed assets
- Calculate and maintain monthly deferred revenue entries and reconciliations
- Supervise the preparation and reporting of sales and property tax returns
- Supervise sales tax and property tax audits
- Reconcile fixed asset additions and calculate monthly depreciation
- Prepare the information workbook that is used by our tax preparer to calculate apportionment by statesÂ
- Research regulations and apply for tax licenses in complicated states such as Alabama and Colorado
- Maintain rental fleet inventory at company branches and stock inventory at manufacturers sites
- Perform stock inventory, rental fleet additions, and branch transfers for all modular spaces and steps
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or degree in Business with equivalent accounting experience
- 8+ years of experience with a public accounting firm desired
- CPA license desired
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience improving and evolving back-office processes and procedures
- Strong database skills, experience analyzing and manipulating large amounts of data
- Experience with sales tax software Avatax
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite with Advanced Excel Skills
