Worksite Location: Waite Park, MN
Compensation: $50,000 annually

Accounting Specialist Job Summary
The Accounting Specialist will maintain adequate accounting and control for various accounting reports and functions, such as preparing monthly financial statements, account reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, and adjustments. By partnering with other, Accounting Specialists will exhibit a high degree of confidentiality and possess the ability to communicate with all levels within the organization. This position will assist with month/year end financial reporting by posting entries and reviewing the general ledger for accuracy and completeness. They also assist the Accounting Team with financial and tax audits, as well as various accounting projects.

What you will do as the Accounting Specialist:

Manage and execute depreciation and amortization activities, including adding, tracking, writing-off, and budgeting
Conduct weekly and monthly cash reconciliation, ensuring bank statements align accurately with the general ledger
Prepare monthly sales tax reports and fulfill other state-required filings
Perform monthly tie-outs of GL (General Ledger) accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
Utilize analytical, communication, and innovative thinking skills to improve financial processes and systems
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, auditing, budgeting, bookkeeping, and fiscal record-keeping practices
Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess their accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards

What you will bring to the role as the Accounting Specialist:

Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2+ years of experience in Accounting and/or related field
Proficiency in Microsoft's suite of products and accounting software programs
Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
