- Worksite Location:Â San Diego, CA | Hybrid
- Compensation: $24.00 per hour
Accounts Payable Specialist Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for compiling and maintaining accounts payable records. You will process checks, generates monthly reports, and assists the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor as necessary. Acts as liaison between the company and insurance companies.
What you’ll do as the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Generate and distribute checks written from the company's trust account
- Generate the monthly account current statement or report of bookings
- Reconcile and correct discrepancies between the company and the insurance company's statement or account current
- Notify the servicing Producer of any accounting irregularities
- Ensure the insurance companies are paid in an accurate and timely manner
- Assist the Insurance Accounts Payable Supervisor in the reconciliation of company payable to the general ledger
What you’ll bring to the Accounts Payable Specialist role:
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1-2+ years of related work experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting terms
- Familiar with word processing and spreadsheet software
- Ability to file and operate general office equipment
- Ability to work within a team and to foster teamworkÂ
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products
