- Worksite Location: St. Paul, MN
- Compensation: $52,000 a year
The focus of this position is to support the health of accounts receivable by building reliable and meaningful relationships with customers and formulating consistent best practices to keep AR current. Our ideal candidate continually assesses processes for efficiency and thrives in a fast-paced team atmosphere.
What you’ll do as the Accounts Receivable Associate:
- Research and resolve balances left after payments by customers by collaborating with internal departments/customers to collect documentation for unidentified deductions
- High level of customer service to assist with B2B collections
- Generate a high volume of credit memos, such as rebates
- Analyze customer backup to determine the validity of customer deductions
- Ensure timely response to customer inquiries received via email
- Monitor orders in suspense for release or hold
- Process credit card payments over the phone when customers call in
- Two-year associate degree in finance, business, or accounting, or equivalent experience (preferred)
- 1-3 years of accounting experience (i.e., direct customer communication, high-volume account receivables)
- Strong skills in using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated system
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Office
- Proficient typing skills
