About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Leasing Agent to join our client’s residential property management team. Our client operates a portfolio of well-maintained rental communities and is dedicated to providing exceptional living experiences for residents. In this role, you will support leasing operations across multiple locations, ensuring prospective residents receive high-quality service from first contact through move-in. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced customer-focused environment and enjoy contributing to occupancy goals and community success.
Job Description
As a Leasing Agent, you will play a key role in attracting and onboarding new residents. You will guide prospective residents through the leasing process, maintain accurate lead and traffic records, and uphold compliance with housing regulations. This role collaborates closely with other leasing professionals and operational teams to meet occupancy expectations across assigned communities.
 Responsibilities include:
- Conduct property tours for prospective residents across multiple residential communities
- Maintain accurate documentation of phone, email, and walk-in inquiries using property management software
- Follow up on leads promptly using electronic tracking tools
- Prepare and process rental applications
- Generate and execute leases for qualified applicants
- Manage interest lists and waitlists for assigned locations
- Ensure strict compliance with Federal, State, and local Fair Housing laws
- Provide weekend or holiday coverage as needed
- Offer backup support to other Leasing Department members
- Assist with lease-up activities at newly developed communities
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong time-management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
- Ability to learn and work within digital platforms and technology tools
- Prior sales experience
