Application Developer Job Description:
As the Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing applications as defined per project. Internal and external communication within this role is critical to ensure a positive and seamless customer experience. You will also assist and mentor Developers and new employees to help elevate skills at all levels.
What you will do as an Applications Developer:
- Deliver high-quality solutions to customers on time and within budget
- Collaborate with customers to determine requirements\user stories and potential future needs
- Provide timely and complete responses to customer requests
- Provide application overviews and\or training to customers
- Provide proactive communication with customers to keep them informed on project or incident progress, setting clear expectations for the follow-up, and following through on those commitments
- Conduct administration and troubleshooting for customer’s deployed applications
- Work on application development tasks that include planning, design, development, testing, documentation, and deployment
- Coordinate and solve complex technical challenges
- Develop all applications with a focus on security integrity
- Works within a variety of technical environments
- Research and propose ideas for improvements to tools, workflows, and processes
- Test new technologies and methodologies
- Create and maintain the project and technical documentation
- Document system configurations
- Mentors and\or assists other members of the team
- Serves as a subject matter expert in a key technology area
- Proactively shares knowledge with extended team
- Participate in peer code reviews
What you will bring to the role as an Applications Developer:
- 3+ years of experience in the following:Â
- Programming languages (at least 2): PHP, JavaScript, C#, Java, Ruby, Python
- JS Frameworks (at least 1): Angular, Vue, React, Node
- CMS: Drupal or WordPress
- Git source management; branches, forks, merge requests, etc.
- Management of DevOps stacks
- Cloud platform management and deployments (AWS preferred)
- Data design and integration, MySQL, ETL
- Experience in technical support, server\network admin is a plus
- Experience in production environment health monitoring, diagnosis, triage, and lifecycle management is a plus
