The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating with customers via email and phone, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring timely resolution of outstanding balances.
Job Description
As a B2B Collections Specialist, you will manage two business lines previously handled by a third-party agency. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Collect outstanding balances through proactive communication with customers and internal teams.
- Review and release orders on credit hold.
- Resolve disputed invoices, short payments, and deductions.
- Provide documentation related to invoices and payments upon request.
- Collaborate with business teams to address delinquency issues.
- Handle high-volume collections, primarily via email (approximately 75%), with phone outreach as needed.
- Occasionally negotiate payment plans.
- Utilize collections software such as GetPaid (preferred) for tracking and reporting.
Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ year of B2B collections experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage deductions and short pays with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience using collections software (GetPaid is a plus).
- Familiarity with managing portfolios previously handled by third-party agencies.
