The Billing Analyst will support the Finance leadership in carrying out management and corporate accounting responsibilities by maintaining accurate financial information and related reporting, and ensuring internal controls are preserved. This position will engage with cross-functional internal partners (Sales, Client Service, Finance) to properly control the invoicing and related revenue recognition for our Software as a Service (SaaS) based business model.

- Worksite Location: Bloomington, MN
The Billing Analyst will support the Finance leadership in carrying out management and corporate accounting responsibilities by maintaining accurate financial information and related reporting, and ensuring internal controls are preserved. This position will engage with cross-functional internal partners (Sales, Client Service, Finance) to properly control the invoicing and related revenue recognition for our Software as a Service (SaaS) based business model.
What a Billing Analyst will be responsible for:
- Control the invoicing process for sales of revenue management software solutions to hospitality-based clients
- Communicate with clients, internal and external, to resolve invoicing questions
- Apply revenue recognition criteria to record revenue on client sales
- Reconcile and analyze various GL accounts and associated cost center reports
- Prepare schedules and work papers for auditors
- Prepare various analytical reports for management as required
- Assist in preparing month-end closing reports
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years of experience in accounting within a corporate environment
- 2+ years revenue recognition experience, preferably in a SaaS based technology business model
- 3 years’ experience working with ERP software (i.e. Oracle, SAP)
- Experience with invoicing and billing controls associated with sales contracts
- Experience with cost accounting, budgets, and multi-currency
- Ability to read and analyze financial statements
- Proven excellence in written and verbal communication
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook
