About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a large, global organization operating in the manufacturing and healthcare-related products industry to identify a skilled Demand Planner. This role plays a critical part in supporting supply chain performance by ensuring accurate demand forecasts that drive efficient material flow and business decision-making. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable collaborating across teams in a dynamic environment.
Job Description
The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining an accurate, unbiased demand plan to support supply chain operations. This position requires minimal supervision and involves close collaboration with business and planning teams to align forecasts with market insights and operational needs.
Key responsibilities include analyzing historical sales data against forecasts, identifying trends and variances, and adjusting future demand plans accordingly. The Demand Planner will also participate in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) activities, review data integrity issues, and recommend corrective actions to improve forecast accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Create and maintain demand plans that support material flow and supply chain planning
- Analyze monthly sales performance versus forecast and recommend adjustments
- Collaborate with cross-functional business teams to review and refine demand plans
- Participate in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies impacting forecast accuracy
- Support continuous improvement of forecasting processes and tools
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Prior experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
