About the Role
We are seeking a Logistics Specialist to support warehouse operations for a global leader in water, hygiene, and energy solutions. This role is essential for ensuring efficient trailer and driver management, accurate documentation, and smooth communication within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Job Description
As a Logistics Specialist, you will:
- Check drivers in and out of the facility.
- Log trailers entering and leaving the yard.
- Communicate effectively with spotters and drivers to coordinate movements.
- Perform computer-based tasks using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Qualifications
Required:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in logistics or warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of warehouse logistics processes and procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn WMS systems.
- Strong communication skills for 100% interaction with team leaders and management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Willingness to comply with safety standards (e.g., no open-toed shoes in a warehouse setting).
- Additional experience in logistics or related fields.
- Familiarity with technology-based training and shadowing processes.
