In this role, you will play a key role in expanding our presence in the food service industry. The Sr. Business Strategy Manager, will prospect, build relationships, and close deals, aligning our services with the unique goals of our clients. This role relies on results-driven sales growth through strategic thinking and influence, as well as building and maintaining strong industry relationships.
What you will do as the Business Strategy Manager:
- Execute against a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's business objectives
- Generate and qualify a strong, consistent pipeline of manufacturer leads while building trust and rapport
- Leverage industry knowledge and relationships to identify key decision-makers and gain traction
- Perform analytical work to determine the size and scope of the prospects and the potential revenue impact
- Represent the company at prominent trade shows and conferences within the food service manufacturing industry
- Engage with potential new manufacturers to deliver impactful presentations showcasing the value and benefits of the company’s capabilities and to introduce all BEPL brands
- Present action-inspiring solutions and stories to prospects to influence business decisions
- Prepare and deliver proposals and agreements, following through to close
- Develop and implement tailored strategies aligned with the goals and objectives of major food manufacturers
- Maintain and report on lead generation and qualification metrics, as well as the progress of manufacturer engagement
- Develop and maintain internal processes, best practices, and documented operating procedures focused on continuous improvement of the Business Strategy team
- 5+ years in the food service business development experience or equivalent
- Demonstrated track record of selling marketing services or loyalty programs to large enterprises
- In-depth understanding of the food service industry, coupled with a strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles
- Experience in negotiating agreements and preparing sales documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong business acumen and an understanding of value-based selling
- Ability to overcome common sales resistance and objections using proven techniques
