About the Role
We are seeking a Client Account Manager to join a growing organization in the professional services and HR solutions space. This role serves as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of client accounts, delivering consultative support across HR, payroll, benefits administration, workers’ compensation, and compliance services.
As a trusted advisor, the Client Account Manager plays a critical role in strengthening client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, and driving long-term retention. This position is highly collaborative, working cross-functionally with internal teams while proactively identifying client needs and delivering strategic, value-driven solutions.
Job Description
  • Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal departments including payroll, HR, benefits, and risk management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and regular review meetings
  • Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities within client accounts and recommend strategic solutions
  • Oversee and resolve client inquiries, service requests, and escalations in a timely and professional manner
  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining high service standards and meeting deadlines
  • Develop and maintain client service plans, ensuring alignment with evolving client needs
  • Support onboarding of new clients and ensure a smooth transition into services
  • Provide consultative guidance on HR best practices, compliance requirements, employee relations, and workplace regulations
  • Assist clients in navigating labor laws, benefits administration, and process improvements
  • Coordinate training and support related to HR systems (HRIS) and employee tools
  • Maintain accurate client and employee records while ensuring data confidentiality and compliance
  • Generate client reports and provide insights on payroll, benefits utilization, and operational metrics
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate data flow and consistent service delivery
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and client experience

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in HR, client services, account management, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of payroll, benefits, HR processes, and compliance fundamentals
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust and maintain professional client relationships
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate and resolve complex issues
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Customer-focused mindset with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience with HRIS or payroll platforms (e.g., UKG, ADP, or similar systems)
  • Previous experience supporting clients in a consultative or advisory capacity
  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation, compliance, and employment regulations
  • SHRM-CP or similar HR certification
  • Experience conducting client reviews, onboarding, and retention initiatives
