- Worksite Location: 100% remote
- 10-11 Month Contract
- Provide proactive accounting expertise and business partnership across the order-to-cash process: revenue recognition, trade, and consumer-related activities within the Pet Segment
- Build functional excellence in accounting capability across the sales and commercial functions and ensure balance between GAO strategy and business needs
- Partner to provide support to other functions based on agreed project plans
- Provide accounting and controls expertise and business partnerships across the Segment
- Follow and comply with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) and current financial legislation for financial results and ultimate financial statement preparation
- Maintain and oversee all accounting procedures, controls, and processes
- Develop sustainable solutions for all identified control gaps and ensure they are implemented in a manner consistent with global standard processes
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information
- Participate in the GAO Commercial Accounting and Control Global Community of Practice
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with SEC and US GAAP requirements
- Effectively communicate with internal and external auditors
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is Required
- Consumer Package Goods or Food Manufacturing industry is required
- Public Accounting or working for a public company
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- 5-7+ years of experience in accounting and controls
- Strong ERP knowledge
