Commercial Lines Insurance Broker Relationship Manager
Job Description
- Worksite Location: Pittsburgh, PA
- Compensation: $90,000-$108,000 annually + incentives
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with commercial lines agents and brokers in central Pennsylvania to align with business goals
- Evaluate current agent relationships and books of business to identify and recommend new commercial lines distribution partners
- Facilitate the appointment process for new agencies, ensuring alignment with our underwriting and growth strategies.
- Pursue new business opportunities, upsell/cross-sell products, and recapture lost accounts through agency partnerships
- Coordinate and deliver New Business Proposal meetings and present tailored business plan options to agencies and brokers
- Lead pre-renewal discussions and reviews with key agencies to ensure account retention and satisfaction
- Collaborate with underwriting to compare competitor plans and ensure we offer the most competitive pricing and coverage
- Lead the territory’s annual planning process, ensuring effective implementation and ongoing performance monitoring
- Conduct regular reviews of underwriting appetite, services, and product offerings with agency partners
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
- Must hold and maintain a valid state producer’s license
- 5+ years of related work experience in the insurance industry
- In-depth understanding of the central PA commercial insurance marketplace, especially regarding agent appointments and account development
- Strong background in sales or field/production underwriting within standard commercial lines products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly
- Broad knowledge of commercial insurance coverages, rating procedures, and industry operations
- Ability to manage multiple agency relationships and meet business targets
- Familiarity with insurance markets and underwriting practices
- Strategic, results-driven mindset with strong analytical, negotiation, and project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
