The Commercial Lines Manager role is responsible for all activities related to operations of the Commercial Lines (CL) department in conjunction with other team leaders. Depending on the structure of the department and agency, this role may also perform other duties, such as those of an Account Executive or Marketing Manager. The Commercial Lines Manager position will continuously look to improve the client service experience and the workflows associated with delivering excellent customer service throughout the agency.Â

- Annual Salary: $80,000-$100,000
- Worksite Location: Onsite
The Commercial Lines Manager role is responsible for all activities related to operations of the Commercial Lines (CL) department in conjunction with other team leaders. The Commercial Lines Manager position will continuously look to improve the client service experience and the workflows associated with delivering excellent customer service throughout the agency.Â
What you’ll do as the Commercial Lines Manager:Â
- Direct and manage the Commercial Lines Department, resolving issues and promoting quality improvement
- Develop and maintain a book of business by working closely with clients and insurance carriers and delegate tasks to members of the account team
- Assist with regional leadership activities, including hiring, coaching, and developing employees
- Develop strategies and programs to prepare the team so that they have the skills and knowledge needed to support/enhance performance
- Work to solidify strong relationships with insurers, clients, and staff
- Leverage specialists in other areas of the organization to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients
- Oversee the internal audit process, concentrating on adherence to procedures and workflows
- Provide results to management and service staff
- Advanced degree from a college or technical school; a combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates without an advanced degree
- Property and Casualty License
- 10+ years of experience in commercial property and casualty insurance with 7+ years of experience independently managing a book at an insurance agency
- Tech savvy - ability to navigate multiple systems, including Agency Management Software; Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products
