We are seeking a Contract Manager to support a leading healthcare organization headquartered in the Midwest. This role will focus on managing and negotiating contracts with existing vendor partners in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally with legal, finance, operations, and technology teams to drive efficient, compliant, and business-aligned contracting outcomes.

Job Description
The Contract Manager will lead and support contract lifecycle activities for existing vendor relationships, including renewals, amendments, and extensions for standard products and services. This role is responsible for negotiating pricing, terms, and service level agreements while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead contract negotiations with existing vendors, ensuring timely execution of renewals, amendments, and extensions
- Utilize established contract templates, tools, and playbooks to ensure consistency and compliance across agreements
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Legal, Finance, Technology, and Operations) to develop and negotiate contracts that meet business needs
- Ensure contracts include preferred terms, pricing structures, and service level agreements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to understand contracting needs and upcoming expirations
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, tailoring messaging appropriately to different audiences
- Maintain accurate contract records in contract management systems and ensure timely data updates
- Analyze contract data and proactively plan for upcoming renewals and extensions
- Provide guidance and education to internal teams on contract processes, including renewals, amendments, and extensions
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Pre-Law, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1–3 years of relevant professional experience beyond degree
- Foundational knowledge of contract management and negotiation processes
- Strong collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Effective communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and contract/workflow management tools (e.g., procurement platforms, eSignature tools such as DocuSign)
- Hands-on experience negotiating contracts with vendors
- Experience drafting, reviewing, and editing contract documents
- Prior experience in the healthcare or regulated industry
