- Worksite Location:Â St. Cloud, MN
- Annual salary:Â $110,000 - $150,000 annually with bonus eligibility
The Controller is responsible for all accounting activities such as maintenance of the general ledger, preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports (including a detailed monthly financial reporting package), and tracking monthly, quarterly, and annual performance against the company’s budget. The Controller will define processes and implement the infrastructure/systems needed to support substantial growth over the next 5 years.Â
What you will do as a Controller/Director of Finance:
- Oversee all financial statements and correct errors or inconsistencies and create timely financial reports as necessary
- Process biweekly payroll, including internal commission calculations
- Create, implement, and monitor financial controls, manage cash flow, and budgets
- Structure and audit company ledger for profitability
- Manage employee engagement, performance reviews, and records
- Handle employee benefits, new hire paperwork, and separations
- Maintain employee handbook and ensure legal compliance
- Design and implement salary guidelines and training programs
- Analyze technology needs of various departments
- Purchase and maintain efficient technological equipment and software, proposing updates when necessary
- Use Salesforce to maintain the accuracy of data, promote universal user adoption, and design and deploy Salesforce solutions
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university and Certified Public Accountant
- 7+ years of professional accounting experience
- 2+ years of experience working as a Controller
- Advanced skill and experience with spreadsheet software, particularly Excel
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks
- Experience involving inventory and bill-of-materials accounting
- Strong experience with the short and long-range budget processes and budget development, rolling budgets, and forecasting
