We are seeking a skilled, experienced Cost Accountant to join our growing organization! Dahl Consulting is currently partnering with a leading manufacturing company. Worksite Location: Alexandria, MN
Compensation: $85,000-$90,000 annually

What you will do as the Cost Accountant:

Maintain cost standards and improve costing processes; customer profitability, break-even analysis, production variance analysis, etc.
Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings
Prepare documents and interpret financial information regarding cost improvements for Company Leadership
Work with multiple departments to understand customer item profitability
Compile documentation on standard costs and company production costs
Process monthly metal price updates
Develop and maintain work center rates
Reconcile inventories and record inventory valuations

What you will bring to the role as the Cost Accountant:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
3+ years of accounting experience
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
Strong data entry skills
Must be a highly organized and self-motivated individual able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Willingness and ability to develop a working knowledge of the business and facilities in support of the company goals and initiatives
Mature judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with professionalism
