About the Role
Our client, a leading retailer with a large portfolio of owned and private-label consumer products, is seeking a Data Entry Contractor to support a critical data transition initiative within its product development function. This fully remote role focuses on validating and maintaining product specification data as the organization continues the implementation of a newly launched system.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and collaboration are essential. This position offers the opportunity to work cross-functionally with internal teams while contributing to projects that support product quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Job Description
As a Data Entry Contractor, you will support the migration and validation of product specification data between legacy and newly implemented systems. You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records that support product development and business operations.
Responsibilities
  • Validate product specifications and ensure accurate information is entered and maintained across systems.
  • Compare and reconcile data across multiple systems and documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Collaborate with internal project teams to ensure project information is entered correctly and data discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Identify missing, conflicting, or inaccurate information and escalate issues as needed.
  • Track and document validation activities, outlining completed work and outstanding items.
  • Support project timelines by maintaining a high level of accuracy in a high-volume environment.
  • Document, communicate, and follow up on data-related issues throughout the validation process.
  • Learn and utilize new software systems and business processes to support ongoing project needs.
  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience performing data entry, data validation, data management, administrative support, or related work.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to review and validate information from multiple sources.
  • Ability to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and missing information within large datasets.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, SharePoint, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following established processes and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and maintain data accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle information responsibly.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday during core Central Time business hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM CT).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, Information Management, or a related field.
  • Experience with food specifications, labeling, packaging, or regulatory compliance processes.
  • Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional business partners.
  • Previous experience supporting data validation initiatives, system implementations, data migrations, or master data management projects.
  • Experience working within retail, consumer products, manufacturing, food and beverage, or product development environments.
  • Familiarity with product specification management systems or enterprise data platforms.
