Contract Duration: 8 weeks
Worksite Location: Battle Ground, WA
Compensation: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

What you’ll do as a Design Engineer:

Design and develop equipment, fixtures, and tools to improve manufacturing processes, focusing on efficiency, throughput, and downtime reduction
Lead and coordinate tool review meetings with internal customers and external vendors
Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to conceptualize, design, and build small to large fixtures
Manage projects independently, including organization, coordination, problem-solving, and taking ownership of tasks
Create detailed CAD drawings for assembly equipment, fixtures, and tooling
Assemble, troubleshoot, and benchmark new assembly equipment and fixtures
Support the outsourcing of tooling through external vendors
Generate creative solutions to problems, adapt strategies to changing conditions, and prioritize tasks effectively

What you’ll bring to the Design Engineer role:

Associate's degree (or higher) in Engineering
4+ years of experience in an engineering discipline
4+ years of design/drafting experience
Proven proficiency in SolidWorks, with a minimum of 5,000 hours of experience
Experience with robotics, collaborative robots (Co-Bots), and automation systems
Knowledge of programming or controls is a plus
Direct design experience with assembly tooling used in a production environment
Strong collaboration skills to work directly with toolmakers, manufacturing engineers, and production teams
Capable of managing a high-pressure manufacturing environment with changing priorities
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to work in a hands-on, shop-floor environment
