Entry-level Purchasing Coordinator Job Summary:
The Purchasing Coordinator is assists in all aspects of procurement and supply chain processes. They will coordinate the sourcing and purchasing of essential materials, supplies, and equipment for the Company’s national scope operations. This includes researching materials suppliers and comparing costs, negotiating purchase agreements and developing inventory controls to identify demand for materials. The Purchasing Coordinator will update and maintain databases of potential suppliers and cultivate working relationships to ease the process of acquiring new materials. They will also monitor and maintain company vehicle inventory and assist in the purchase of company vehicles.

What you’ll do as the Entry-level Purchasing Coordinator:
  • Solicit material and equipment project pricing.
  • Create and issue Purchase Orders for projects and overhead.
  • Input information into Web-Apps.
  • Confirm orders with suppliers and communicate delivery with site teams.
  • Schedule and coordinate shipping.
  • Source and vet new suppliers.
  • Track project equipment rentals.
  • Maintain records and reconcile credit card purchases.
  • Potentially provide backup to fleet manager (trucks).
  • Assist in ordering office supplies for headquarters.
What you’ll bring to the Entry-level Purchasing Coordinator role:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business; OR Associate’s Degree and experience working in construction  
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as a team
