As our General Accountant, you will help the Accounting Team by taking responsibility for the corporate accounting practices including maintenance of accounting records, preparing financial reports, internal auditing, and tax compliance. This position may work at either our Detroit Lakes, MN, or Ashland, OH locations, or may work remotely based on experience.

- Worksite Location: Detroit Lakes, MN, or Ashland, OH
As our General Accountant, you will help the Accounting Team by taking responsibility for the corporate accounting practices including maintenance of accounting records, preparing financial reports, internal auditing, and tax compliance. This position may work at either our Detroit Lakes, MN, or Ashland, OH locations, or may work remotely based on experience.
What you’ll do as a General Accountant:
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements in a timely manner
- Prepare and file state sales tax returns
- Record and maintain fixed asset and depreciation listings
- Use careful analysis to influence colleagues with fact-based approaches and ideas to ensure optimal performance and results
- Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and account reconciliations
- Ability to gather and analyze information from the general ledger system to answer accounting and financial questions
- Strong attention to detail
- Willingness to challenge senior management in a constructive, balanced way, offering solutions and fresh thinking
