General Ledger Accounting Specialist Job Description
The General Ledger Accounting Specialist will assist in the G/L function, pulling data from databases, reconciliations, journal entries, some light audit work, and financial analysis. This position will also assist in AP and Billing as well and have exposure to AP, AR, Payroll, and G/L.

What you’ll do as the General Ledger Accounting Specialist:

• Ensure the distribution of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting policies and procedures
• Reconcile month-end balance sheet accounts
• Prepare and distribute financial statements
• Maintain fixed assets
• Annual budget process of template updating, uploading, and analysis
• Perform quarterly account reconciliations
• Insurance reporting/worker’s comp audit
• Prepare 401K audit reports
• Compliance reports including property/use tax
• Prepare and distribute the borrowing base certificate

What you’ll bring to the General Ledger Accounting Specialist:

• Bachelor of Science in Accounting
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience
• High-level understanding of GAAP
• Experience with company and departmental budgeting
