We are seeking a Hadoop Systems Engineer to provide first-line support and ensure the stability, performance, and availability of our big data environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Hadoop technologies, Linux administration, and enterprise infrastructure, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

We are seeking a Hadoop Systems Engineer to provide first-line support and ensure the stability, performance, and availability of our big data environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Hadoop technologies, Linux administration, and enterprise infrastructure, with the ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

Assess and prioritize issues impacting business-critical Hadoop and related technologies.

Perform knowledge-based recovery of incidents and events to minimize downtime.

Communicate effectively with end-users and technical teams through verbal and written channels.

Execute repeatable operational tasks, including maintenance, deployments, and monitoring.

Collaborate with other technology teams to resolve complex issues and optimize system performance.

Support enterprise storage, networking, and infrastructure technologies as needed.

1st Line Support / Operations Center Experience
-
Apache Hadoop
-
Apache Hive
-
Apache Spark
-
Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS)

Linux Administration
-
Trino (Presto SQL)
-
1–2 years of experience working in a service desk or operations center environment.

Basic understanding of ITIL processes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Solid fundamentals of infrastructure and/or application technologies in an enterprise environment.

Knowledge of storage, networking, and core enterprise technologies preferred.
