Job Description
- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Worksite Location: Concord, NH
The Help Desk Analyst will assist with problem resolution for desktop operating and maintenance functions; and provide second-tier desktop-related troubleshooting for help desk services, for multiple supported technologies.Â
What you’ll do as a Help Desk Analyst:
- Preliminary and second-tier troubleshooting of Windows operating systems and all state standard software
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues through Windows Active Directory including unlocking accounts and changing passwords
- Provide technical problem resolution to all Department of Information Technology (DoIT) users as well as tracking computer-related problems via a help desk tool
- Identify reoccurring issues and recommend constructive resolution
- Maintain and create help desk documentation
- Interact with all levels of the DoIT customer base and staff in a professional, courteous, and expedient manner
- Assist, train, and mentor internal customers and the end user community in technical matters associated with personal computer hardware, software, and peripherals
- Contact and interact with customer and state-approved vendors to correct problems with equipment or service through service restoration
- Maintain proficiency in the support of hardware and software systems in support of the Help Desk Service mission
- 3+ years of professional experience troubleshooting Windows desktop operating systems, and Windows-based application software for end users
- 3+ years of professional experience using Microsoft Active Directory to unlock end-user accounts and change user passwords
- 3+ years of professional experience troubleshooting network connectivity issues for end users
- 1+ years of professional experience working with a help desk ticketing system, such as BMC Footprints or other similar ticketing systems
- Strong Customer Service skills and communication skills both written and spoken are essential to being selected for this position
