Job Description
In this position, you will support key HR functions including payroll coordination, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. You will work closely with employees and management to provide guidance, maintain accurate records, and assist with a variety of HR processes that keep daily operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, affirmative action, and employment law compliance
- Assist in safety, benefits management, and payroll coordination
- Maintain payroll records and process bi weekly payroll
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports for accounting and management
- Maintain employee and applicant documentation including personnel files
- Lead benefit administration by reviewing benefit information with employees and processing enrollments or changes
- Coordinate open enrollment activities
- Reconcile benefit vouchers with payroll and ensure accurate department coding
- Weekly travel to Wadena, Minnesota 1x per week, company car and gas expense covered
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelors Degree and/or 2 years experience in human resources, experience with payroll and/or benefits administration, employee relations
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and positive relationships
- Strong attention to detailÂ
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Strong sense of urgency and efficiency
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Initiative to investigate and resolve issues independently
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple projects
- Willingness to travel to Wadena, Minnesota 1x per week.Â
- Experience supporting HR functions within a multi department or multi location organization
