Job Description
- Contract Duration: 12-18 Months
- Worksite Location: Plymouth, MN
As IT Support & Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering training programs to staff members and property management professionals, enabling them to effectively utilize the Rent Cafe platform for the intake of applicants and recertification of existing residents at affordable housing properties. Your role will involve designing, implementing, and delivering training materials, conducting workshops, and providing ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition and efficient utilization of the Rent Cafe system.
What you’ll do as the IT Support & Trainer:
- Design training materials, including presentations, manuals, and interactive modules, tailored to the specific needs of affordable housing professionals
- Create engaging and interactive training sessions that cover the functionality and features of the platform
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions to ensure effective understanding and utilization
- Offer continuous support to users of the Rent Cafe, answer questions and troubleshoot issues promptly and effectively
- Stay up to date with system updates and enhancements, and effectively communicate these changes to users
- Liaise with property management teams, supervisors, and other relevant stakeholders to understand their training needs and align training programs accordingly
- Collaborate with the development team to provide feedback on user experiences and suggest improvements to enhance the platform's usability
- Keep abreast of affordable housing regulations, policies, and industry best practices to ensure accurate and up-to-date training content
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Proven experience as a trainer or educator, preferably in the affordable housing or property management industry
- Familiarity with the Rent Cafe platform, Yardi Voyager, or similar property management software is highly desirable
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and educate diverse audiences effectively
- Demonstrated ability to assess training needs, develop training materials, and evaluate training effectiveness
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to provide timely and efficient support
- Willingness to travel occasionally for in-person training sessions, conferences, or meetings
