About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a large, global organization in the food and agriculture industry to support a major enterprise-wide hardware transformation initiative. This role sits within the Client Devices team and plays a key part in executing a large-scale device refresh aimed at modernizing hardware lifecycle management.
As a Hardware Asset Manager, you will support a high-impact hardware refresh project affecting tens of thousands of end users across multiple business functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with data, and experienced in coordinating hardware lifecycle activities in a complex enterprise environment.
Job Description
The Hardware Asset Manager will be responsible for coordinating and managing the lifecycle of end-user devices as part of a large-scale refresh project transitioning from a long-term ownership model to a 48-month leasing cycle. The role is highly operational and system-focused, with heavy interaction in the asset management platform rather than hands-on device handling.
You will collaborate closely with internal IT teams, procurement partners, vendors, and end users to ensure hardware orders, inventory, and refresh timelines remain on track.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate end-to-end hardware lifecycle activities for a large enterprise device population
- Manage hardware data and workflows within the organization’s asset management system (ServiceNow HAM)
- Ensure device orders flow smoothly between vendors, procurement, and internal teams
- Forecast inventory needs and align refresh schedules to meet business goals
- Partner with procurement teams to coordinate purchase orders as required
- Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups, including plant workers, administrators, and corporate users
- Translate data into insights, asking the right questions to support informed decision-making
- Support reporting needs and, if experienced, assist in building dashboards to visualize asset and lifecycle data
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 4–6 years of professional experience in hardware asset management, hardware lifecycle coordination, or PC refresh supply chain roles
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, specifically Hardware Asset Management (HAM)
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of asset data accurately
- Demonstrated ability to analyze numbers, identify trends, and tell a clear story with data
- Working knowledge of basic hardware specifications (CPU, RAM, processors, storage, etc.); configuration experience not required
- Experience coordinating large-scale PC or hardware refresh initiatives
- Understanding of how hardware changes impact different user populations and job roles
- Ability to take direction, then work independently to execute and deliver results
- Hardware-focused background with some exposure to software asset concepts considered a plus
- Experience building reports or dashboards using tools such as Power BI
- ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management certifications
- Background supporting enterprise environments with distributed or frontline workforces
