About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a rapidly growing, technology-driven organization in the clean energy and sustainability sector to identify an experienced Project Manager, People Technology. This role supports enterprise-wide People Technology initiatives, with a strong focus on HR systems and business process enablement. The organization operates at scale and leverages modern cloud-based tools to support a large, distributed workforce.
This is a high-visibility role working closely with business stakeholders, HR teams, IT technical leads, and external partners to deliver impactful People Technology solutions.
Job Description
The Project Manager, People Technology is responsible for the successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects related to HR technology and business operations. The role partners closely with Workday technical leads and business owners across the employee support ecosystem to plan, execute, and communicate progress on initiatives that leverage HRIS tools and data.
You will manage approximately 10–15 projects per quarter, facilitate Agile ceremonies, support sprint planning, and present updates to stakeholders through quarterly reviews and enterprise-wide technology readouts. This role may also coordinate with third-party vendors to ensure successful delivery of scoped work.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall direction, planning, execution, communication, and delivery of People Technology projects across the IT organization
  • Partner with IT, product teams, HR, and business sponsors to ensure solutions meet both business and technical requirements
  • Develop project scope documents, work breakdown structures, schedules, and milestone tracking
  • Run sprint planning sessions, stakeholder reviews, and quarterly business overviews
  • Track project risks, dependencies, issues, and change requests in alignment with PMO guidelines
  • Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and escalate issues as needed
  • Provide regular status reporting to leadership, governance groups, and project teams
  • Support documentation standards, knowledge management, and project closure processes
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, including SOW oversight and delivery tracking
  • Present project updates in All Technology Readouts and other leadership forums

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Prior project management experience specifically supporting HR projects
  • Experience supporting Workday or similar enterprise HR platforms
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using project tracking and management tools
  • Ability to stay organized, focused, and accountable while supporting multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Agile work environments
  • Experience managing HR or People Technology initiatives
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Experience coordinating with external vendors or third-party partners
  • Exposure to process improvement, workflow design, or operational documentation
