Job Description
As a Business Applications Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting and continuously improving the client’s business applications landscape. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, configure and maintain applications, and ensure seamless system integration. This role requires a proactive mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 1 support for business-critical platforms (NetSuite, HighJump/Warehouse Edge, Celigo, Shopify).
- Act as a liaison between business teams (finance, accounting, etc.) and external vendors to validate solutions and support testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements.
- Customize and configure applications to meet specific workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions and create user guides for application usage.
- Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and workflows.
- Participate in testing, upgrades, and quality assurance activities.
- Enforce data integrity, security protocols, and segregation of duties.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams to ensure optimal system performance.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting and administering business applications.
- Experience as a system administrator with one or more of the following:
- ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite)
- Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., HighJump/Warehouse Edge)
- E-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify)
- Integration platforms (e.g., Celigo)
- Experience in a systems support function (e.g., IT helpdesk).
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Experience in a retail or apparel industry setting.
- Familiarity with Azure services (Functions, Pipelines).
- Knowledge of scripting or programming languages.
- Experience working with cross-functional business teams.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a willingness to challenge the status quo.
