Dahl Consulting is currently partnering with a local employee owned technology services company helping businesses with their IT needs. They are looking for a passionate Infrastructure Administrator to join the team. DAHL has been partnering with candidates on-on-one for 40 years to get them into jobs they love.
Job Title: Infrastructure Administrator

Location: Fargo, ND

Pay: $70,000 - $90,000 annually depending on experience + time and a half for any after hours work

Responsibilities:

Microsoft Infrastructure Management: Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments
Device Management: Experience with Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft 365 Compliance (O365)
Security & Compliance: Familiarity with security best practices, firewalls, anti-virus software, and intrusion detection systems
System Performance & Maintenance: Monitor, optimize, and perform regular updates on hardware, software, and operating systems
Backup & Disaster Recovery: Plan, execute, and maintain backup and restore strategies
Documentation & Process Improvement: Develop and maintain network diagrams, configurations, and best practices
Customer Support: Provide proactive communication and technical support to users, both on-site and remotely
Infrastructure Installations: Travel to client sites for server, storage, and power infrastructure installations (company vehicle provided)
Ticketing System: Work within ConnectWise or similar ticketing systems to track incidents and resolutions
Collaboration: Work closely with higher-level engineers, solutions architects, and a 14-member infrastructure team to deliver exceptional service

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in server infrastructure and Microsoft stack technologies
Experience with Microsoft 365, Intune, Autopilot, Compliance (O365), and security best practices
Familiarity with enterprise network storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
Strong communication skills—ability to assess customer needs and provide holistic solutions
Proficiency with ConnectWise or other ticketing systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including documentation of technical implementations
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain proactive communication

Additional Details:

On-call expectations are rare (2-3 times per year, shared with another team member)
Hybrid work model: Fully in-office for the first month, then remote Mondays & Fridays
