Inside Sales Specialist (Unlicensed)
Job Description
Location: Remote | Candidates must be located near one of the following cities, as onsite work may occasionally be requested: Minnetonka, MN; Madison, WI; Omaha, NE; or St. Louis, MO.
Job Type: Contract (3 Months + Potential to extend)
Compensation: $21.50/hr + $1/hr for any regular shift ending at or after 6:30pm (effective after training). Contractors may also be eligible for additional incentives/commissions

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / Regular Business Hours or 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Any regular shift ending at or after 6:30 PM qualifies for a +$1.00/hour shift differential, which takes effect after training.

We are partnering with a leading Minnesota-based health plan organization to identify driven Inside Sales Specialists to support the growth of their Medicare membership. Our client is a well-established, mission-driven health insurance provider headquartered in the Twin Cities metro, known for delivering high-quality coverage and an exceptional member experience. This is a contract opportunity within a fast-paced Contact Center environment, ideal for sales-minded professionals who thrive on meeting goals while maintaining strict compliance standards.
This is a remote-first position; however, contractors may occasionally be requested to work onsite for meetings. Candidates must reside near one of the client's hub locations: Minnetonka, MN; Madison, WI; Omaha, NE; or St. Louis, MO.
Job Description
The Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for increasing Medicare membership by guiding prospects and members through the sales cycle. Utilizing their expertise, the Sales Specialist effectively assists individuals in identifying and recommending the best product for their needs. This results-oriented professional meets and exceeds sales goals while remaining fully compliant with industry guidelines to ensure the best possible experience for future members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage prospects and members through inbound and outbound calls to support them throughout the sales cycle.
- Recommend the most suitable Medicare products based on each individual's needs.
- Consistently meet and exceed established sales goals and performance metrics.
- Adhere to all compliance guidelines within the health insurance industry.
- Maintain accurate, thorough documentation of all customer interactions.
- Shifts:
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / Regular Business Hours or 11:30 AM – 8:00 PM CST
- Any regular shift ending at or after 6:30 PM qualifies for a +$1.00 shift differential, effective after training.
- Training Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM CST
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in Health Plan sales, broker relationships, and/or inside sales.
- Must be located near one of the following hub cities: Minnetonka, MN; Madison, WI; Omaha, NE; or St. Louis, MO.
- Excellent customer service skills within a Contact Center environment, including inbound and outbound call experience.
- Clear understanding of compliance guidelines within the health insurance industry.
- Strong documentation and writing skills.
- Polite and professional verbal communication.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Remote Work Requirements:
- Ability to maintain a professional, distraction-free work environment (free from interruptions by family members, roommates, and/or pets).
- Must be on camera for all meetings and trainings.
- Internet speed test required for all candidate submittals; results must be attached to the submittal as a saved screenshot (similar to a resume).
- Internet Speed Standards (tested at http://www.speedtest.net):
- Upload speed: Minimum of 5+ Mbps
- Download speed: Minimum of 25+ Mbps
- Ping: Less than 100 MS
- Proven sales and prospecting skills with a results-oriented, solution-driven mindset.
- Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Collaborative team player who works well in a group setting.
- Adaptable and flexible in an ever-changing environment.
