- Worksite Location: Mostly remote, occasionally onsite at the corporate office in Los Angeles, California
- Corporate Office Location: Los Angeles, California
- Core Business Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm PST
- Salary: $120,000-137,000 per year DOQ
Insurance Account Manager in Specialty Lines and Construction Job Description:
As the Insurance Account Manager in Specialty Lines and Construction, you will be responsible for providing customer service and overall service of assigned customers and/or policies, soliciting new business on existing accounts, and support of Producer-led new business efforts. This person will work with mid to large accounts (they will have 1-5) in the general contractor space.
What you will do as an Insurance Account Manager in Mergers and Acquisitions:
- Fosters and manages the overall relationship with clients ensuring retention of a book of business and high satisfaction
- Analyzes market proposals for verification of benefits, premiums, and competitiveness
- Reviews coverage contracts for accuracy of policy provisions
- Meets with clients for pre-renewal strategy, proposal delivery, and explanation
- Conducts client open enrollment meetings and answers questions regarding benefit coverage
- Negotiates with markets for benefits premium concessions
- Ensures that the client team handles client benefit inquiries and manages the team to effectively service clients
- Manages new carrier and plan implementations for the book of business
- Ensures team prepares claims experience and utilization reports and reviews for accuracy
- Reacts, processes, and follows up on new business
- Meets with clients as needed or directed by the Producer
- Collection of fees, reconciliation, and resolution of any outstanding balances within 60 days of invoicing date
- Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information)
- Other duties as assigned
What you will bring to the role as an Insurance Account Manager in Mergers and Acquisitions:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4-6 years of related work experience
- Account Management construction-specific experience
- State of California Property and Casualty license
- CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor) or CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist) certifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a team and foster teamwork
- Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills
- Superior leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize work for multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
