Leave Specialist - Hybrid

Job Description
- Worksite Location: Renville, MN (hybrid)
- Compensation: $60,000-$70,000 annually
The Leave Specialist supports the company’s initiative to become the Employer of Choice and assists employees serving as the main contact, subject matter expert, and communication lead for all leave of absence, accommodation, and workers compensation matters.
What a Leave Specialist will be responsible for:
- Serve as subject matter expert and first point of contact for people leader and/or employee requesting or inquiring about a leave of absence, accommodation, and worker compensation claims (post-incident) under general direction and guidance of HR leadership and the legal department
- Administer the leave of absence (FMLA, STD, LTD, Personal, Workers Compensation or other accommodation) and workers compensation claims for all employees, from leave initiation through closure, including all appropriate internal and external communications and transactional updates related to the employees' record
- Research and analyze leave requests to determine eligibility in compliance with state/federal regulations and company policies or collective bargaining agreement
- Manage ADA accommodation requests, light duty assignments, and other related processes
- Handle all analysis, compliance, coordination, and paperwork for the full life cycle: inquiry, initiation of paperwork, leave management, coordination with appropriate internal and external parties, to closure and record keeping
- Maintain close contact and communications with employees and appropriate third-party administrators or contacts
- 2+ years of experience working with leave of absence programs
- Human Resources and Benefits experience
