About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a national health insurance services organization that supports individuals enrolling in Affordable Care Act (ACA) Marketplace health plans. This position supports both Open Enrollment and non–Open Enrollment periods, offering year-round work with the opportunity to convert to a permanent role based on performance and business needs.
In this role, you will assist consumers with enrolling in ACA Marketplace plans—often at low or zero monthly premium—through inbound calls and online inquiries. This is a high-volume, structured sales environment with strong earning potential, comprehensive training, and a clear compliance framework.
Job Description
As a Licensed Benefit Enrollment Coordinator, you will support health insurance enrollment by assisting consumers with plan selection and enrollment through inbound calls and web-based leads. You will follow approved scripts, educate consumers on plan benefits, and ensure all enrollments comply with CMS and company guidelines.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Handle inbound phone and online inquiries related to ACA Marketplace health insurance plans
- Educate consumers on plan options, eligibility, benefits, and enrollment requirements
- Follow assigned scripts and enrollment workflows in compliance with CMS regulations
- Complete ACA enrollments accurately and efficiently
- Document all consumer interactions thoroughly within internal systems
- Communicate plan updates, benefit changes, and enrollment requirements clearly
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to meet enrollment and performance goals
- Assist with special projects or additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Active Life & Health Insurance License (must be active prior to start)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance sales, ACA enrollment, call center sales, or financial services
- Ability to follow scripted sales conversations and comply with strict CMS guidelines
- Comfortable working with multiple systems and learning new technology quickly
- Availability to work extended hours during ACA Open Enrollment
- Ability to obtain FFM certification prior to start (online and quick to complete)
- Prior ACA Open Enrollment experience
- Experience enrolling consumers in ACA Marketplace plans
- Active licenses in multiple states
- Experience with HealthSherpa or similar ACA enrollment platforms
- Previous inbound phone sales or virtual customer engagement experience
- Proven success in high-volume or performance-based sales environments
