Worksite Location: Plymouth, MN

What you’ll do as the Business Development Representative:

Generate new accounts using various prospecting methods including cold-calling, in-person, email, and referrals
Meet with customers, shippers, receivers, and present solutions
Build trust and rapport with a prospect through expertise and dialogue
Provide tailored solutions that provide value and drive long-term business relationships
Stay current with market trends and competitor actions for strategic planning
Understand and research your prospects business, pain points, and solutions
Determine and negotiate competitive rates for quoting and securing freight
Provide realistic pipeline and revenue forecasting for new and existing business
Respond to, and manage, RFQ/RFP requests
Travel for networking and business expansion as needed
Drive strategic partnerships for revenue growth, increase profitability, and collaborate across departments to enhance customer experience

What you’ll bring to the Business Development Representative role:

Some professional experience preferably in a sales role
Ability to identify what a prospect needs by asking the right questions
Basic understanding of problems prospects frequently experiences and solutions you would recommend for solving those issues
Ability to work well with a team
Results-driven and self-starter attitude
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Excel
