About the Role
Our firm is partnering with a large, fast-paced retail and distribution organization to identify a Logistics Specialist to support day-to-day logistics operations. This role works closely with the Logistics Manager and cross-functional partners to coordinate communications, track projects, and support routing, staging, and delivery activities across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic, operational environment.

Job Description
The Logistics Specialist will assist with coordinating logistics activities, maintaining accurate project updates, and ensuring timely communication across teams. Responsibilities include:

Supporting the Logistics Manager with communications across multiple platforms, including Slack, Microsoft Planner, Outlook, and SharePoint, for productions and internal transfers
Updating Microsoft Planner with project developments and communicating updates to internal partners as needed
Collaborating with partners to discuss project details and ensure appropriate protection, handling, and execution of requests
Maintaining accurate and current project information across multiple systems
Assisting with route planning and communication between internal teams and delivery partners
Tracking route progress and communicating status updates to partners, the Logistics Manager, and delivery teams
Supporting the development of a long-term, cohesive logistics scheduling, tracking, and delivery confirmation tool
Assisting with the dissemination of materials and assets throughout the facility while tracking and communicating progress
Supporting staging, organization, and tracking of projects, assets, and equipment within the building

Qualifications
Required

Experience in logistics, shipping, and receiving operations
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Planner
Experience using collaboration tools such as Slack
Strong time management and organizational skills
Experience with driving, routing, or coordinating delivery routes

Preferred

Prior experience supporting logistics or operations within a retail, distribution, or production environment
Experience assisting with process improvement or development of logistics tracking and scheduling tools
Familiarity with coordinating across multiple teams and communication platforms in a fast-paced setting
Current Forklift / Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification or previous experience/certification
