Worksite Location: Cedar, MN

What you’ll do as a Manufacturing Finance Analyst:

Review and analyze job orders to assess material and labor costs
Identify variances and work with production teams to address and correct discrepancies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improving production processes
Recommend strategies to produce products more efficiently, with a focus on reducing costs and increasing output without compromising quality
Prepare detailed cost estimates for new products, projects, and process changes
Utilize historical data and market trends to project future costs and profitability
Gather and analyze data related to production efficiency, waste, and resource utilization
Prepare reports and present findings to management, offering actionable insights to enhance decision-making
Maintain a high level of accuracy in all data entry and reporting tasks, reviewing information to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies
Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions related to pricing, product development, and process improvements
Monitor and track manufacturing costs, working closely with the finance and production teams to ensure adherence to budgeted costs
Identify and recommend cost-saving opportunities
Review and analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and procurement strategies to optimize material costs and reduce excess inventory

What you’ll bring to the Manufacturing Finance Analyst role:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a financial environment, with a focus on cost analysis, process improvement, or business analysis; specifically in a manufacturing environment is preferred
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost accounting principles, and financial analysis
Proficient in data analysis tools and software, such as Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling software
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data in a clear and actionable manner
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and results-driven mindset
