Marketing Director

- Worksite Location: Bloomington, MN
- Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 annually
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 4 days per week – 10 hour days between 6:00am – 6:00pm.
- Note: Must have experience in trademark monitoring and renewals, working with legal teams to manage trademarks.Â
- Establish strategic marketing goals to meet corporate objectives and increase market share and profitability of products
- Develop and execute company messaging, brand growth, lead generation, and sales support through print and online advertising, public relations, e-mail/direct mail campaigns, point-of-purchase aids, and social media
- Negotiate rates and evaluate effectiveness of external partnerships
- Develop and execute annual brand/product communication plan in coordination with annual budget, defining objectives target audiences, messaging, and tactical mix to build the company’s market leadership position
- Develop, implement, and monitor brand standards, guidelines, and objectives to drive consistency of the brand among all audiences including employees, management, customers, business associations, and media
- Establish and ensure success metrics including ROI for all marketing programs to determine effectiveness; adjusts strategy and tactics as appropriate
- Research and implement industry best practices
- Develop and supervise maintenance of computer database of customer prospects
- Plan trade show schedule and materials; attends trade shows
- Direct the strategy, design, and development of the company's website utilizing outside partners and online content management tools ensuring content is up-to-date, detailed, accurate, consistent, and easy to use
- Responsible for monitoring trademark expirations and renewal process with legal team.Â
What you’ll bring to the Marketing Director role:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- 2+ years of departmental budget management
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Skilled in writing for multiple communications mediums/channels (e-mail, web, direct mail, phone, video, etc.)
- Moderate to advanced experience with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Publisher
- Moderate to advanced experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Excellent working knowledge of processes as they relate to print production, direct mail, photography, print advertising, e-marketing and online advertising, website content management applications and media relations
- Working knowledge of Flash and HTML
- Experience with Google Analytics and RSS
- Experience in trademark monitoring and renewals, working with legal teams to manage trademarks.Â
